We will save you precious time

You can spend a lot more time than desired preparing and cleaning your database. Arbmaker comes with US data free of charge so subscribers can bypass this donkey work.

What does that mean?

It means subscribers can ask for and receive a database of over 6,000 symbols. But all those symbols alone are not that much of a help. For this reason we cut by sector and industry classifications in the same way the US exchanges do it. And we synchronise our lists every quarter to take account of additions and deletions – drop us an email for the latest.

Still, 6,000+ symbols includes micro caps, low volume stocks and illiquid issues. These are not always so easy to trade – especially on the short side.  So our default version of the database for subscribers, also free, covers only the most liquid 2,000 companies. That is to say those market capitalized at over $750 million. And, on request, we can also exclude companies trading under, for example, $5 per share.

For global trading we supply another 23 geographic databases cut the same way and also focused on the most liquid issues. These files are included in subscription plans of 6 months and over. For details, please click the sliding “Database Info” tab on the left of your screen.

The end result is in the images above (click to enlarge). Subscribers save time and get a precision database to drill down and target specific areas – globally.

Yes. Our upgrade, due out this month implements both BSE and NSE database files (around 500 symbols) for use with Google Finance’s data feed which is of superior quality to Yahoo’s for non-US markets and also allows intra-day scanning/analysis.

      Hi Guz.

1: Yes, this will be possible when we release our upgrade in the next 3 weeks.
2: Yes and no. We do not support futures (but we plan to in the future). Users may create any symbols data base they wish from the instruments available on IQ, Google or Yahoo; and combine them for testing as they see fit.
3: The current ArbMaker does not have a portfolio analyser but analysis at the single pair level is available. The upgrade, currently being tested, has portfolio testing and performance reporting.

(We also sent you a reply by email to your message from yesterday)

      Hope this helps.

    Hi,

Can I use the data from the Bloomberg to test the Stat Arb opportunities, specifically for Indian stock futures and also for other major emerging markets?

Can I also automate the strategies to directly trade from the software?

    Regards
